Psalm 62

1. My soul finds rest in God alone;
my salvation comes from him.

2. He alone is my rock and my salvation;
He is my fortress, I will never be shaken.

3. How long will you assault a man?
Would all of you throw him down this leaning wall, this tottering fence?

4. They fully intend to topple him from his lofty place; they take delight in lies.
With their mouths they bless, but in their hearts they curse. Selah

5. Find rest, O my soul, in God alone;
my hope comes from him.

6. He alone is my rock and my salvation;
He is my fortress, I will not be shaken.

7. My salvation and my honor depend on God;
He is my mighty rock, my refuge.

8. Trust in him at all times, O people;
pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. Selah

9. Lowborn men are but a breath, the highborn are but a lie;
if weighed on a balance, they are nothing; together they are only a breath.

10. Do not trust in extortion or take pride in stolen goods;
though your riches increase, do not set your heart on them.

11. One thing God has spoken, two things have I heard:
that you, O God, are strong,

12. and that you, O Lord, are loving.
Surely you will reward each person according to what he has done.

****This is a rant and rave blog. If you don't understand what I'm talking about, that's ok. It's not meant to be understood.****

Never in my life have I experienced anything like this. Even though I am not the one under attack, I feel as if it's directed towards me. I have never known a man like him. Strong, righteous, a man of his word.

His human faults: tempermental, impulsive, grumpy at times (especially now with age), lacks certain every day functioning skills because of his upbringing.

His strengths: good husband (coming from her lips), AMAZING father, caring, loving, sincere, honest, giving, man of God. Many men say one thing and do another, I can honestly say that this man walks what he preaches. A man of integrity, a man who no matter what storm he is encountering he will always hold God's hand to weather the storm, never losing sight of where his faith is placed... absolutely admire that about him.

It is because of all these great attributes that he pocesses that I cant' begin to fathom as to why someone and HIS followers are set on destroying him. I can say with certainty that this is the devil's work. All those who stab him in the back now are people who he has tried to help, been there for them, cried for them and with them. And like the world says "and this is the thanks I get."

My prayer to God now is that He will vindicate him. Make him victorious and show those who stand against him that God is with him. Show his adversaries that he continues on the rightous path and that they have chosen to stray and follow a man and not God's will.

I am emotionally spent, but have peace in my heart. This too shall pass, like everything else in life.

I want you to know that I absolutely love you, not only because you're my father, but because you are an amazing man. As long as you continue to do what's right and fight for what God has commanded you to do, I will stand by you, behind you .... anywhere you need me to be. Because I believe in your cause, I believe in your calling...... and I believe.
